I know it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything here besides the occasional Clash of the Titles post. Thing is . . .
Two months ago today, on October 27, 2012, my best friend, the love of my life, my husband of almost 26 years, passed into the arms of Jesus. The pain is still raw. I’m still processing this loss and trying to come to grips with my “new” normal. Expect more on this here in the coming weeks.
Also, this day, December 27, 2012, marks what would have been the 75th Wedding Anniversary of my parents, Bill and Alta Blann.
Not sure why I’m posting this on my blog today. I guess I just wanted to share with those of you who will read this. Maybe, because, in more ways than one, I’m alone today, huh?
I’ll be back after the first of the year to bring Whispers in Purple back into the swing of things.
I pray everyone has a Merry and Blessed Christmas and wishing you and yours the best of everything in the coming year.
Peg
Ah, Peg, such a nice photo of your husband. A cowboy, huh? I like your parent's wedding photo, too.
ReplyDeleteHang onto Jesus, Peg!
Yes, Jean, he's my West Texas Cowboy, with dimples. I will miss him always.
DeleteAnd I wouldn't be anywhere without Jesus.
Hi Peggy. You might feel alone, but you are not. Jesus is with you, always and forever, and you have the love of lots of people who wish they could hug you right this minute. I'm one of them. You are precious.
ReplyDeleteHe will be your strength when you are weak. Rest in His grace and strength.
Love you, Annne
Thank you, Anne. As I said in my comment to Jean, I know I'd be totally lost without the knowledge that Jesus is with me and in me every step on this agonizing journey.
DeleteI am so very sorry for your loss. Been there, and, it is a very hard road to travel. But with GOD's help it will slowly get easier. Be glad to hear from you again soon. Maxie ( mac262@me.com )
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maxie, and thank you for sticking around :)
ReplyDeleteI will be back shortly on a (more-or-less)regular basis as I try to set some new goals.
