Living the Bible, by Zari Banks

Hi Whisper readers! Once again, I’m please to present Zari Banks to Whispers in Purple for 2013! She will, God willing (and I don’t space it!) be writing one of her wonderful devotions for the blog on the second Thursday of every month.

So, without any further delay, here’s Zari!

January 10, 2013

Happy and blessed New Year, dear ones! As always I’m honored to be able to share with the readers of Whispers in Purple.

We’re only a couple of weeks into 2013, but I already have a significant list of praise reports, visions, dreams and miracles to give God thanks for and to share with others so that their faith is increased. First, I’ve had my son back with me after being away from him for 15 months and eight days –miraculously. And, even though God delivered him to me on December 6, 2012 every time I look at my kiddo, I’m reminded of how God promised in August 2011 that if I prayed for my enemies I’d get my son back, and that causes me to rejoice in the Lord and praise Him because He’s faithful.

More importantly, already this year I’ve seen God use the miracles, favor and blessings He’s placed on my life to influence people around me. I’ve had a self-professed agnostic-leaning-toward-atheist ask me to pray for them, I’ve had someone who wavered in believing I hear from God confess that they know God’s hand is on my life, I’ve experienced God begin to restore a broken relationship for me and so much more.

God’s word is true. I’m living the Bible – signs and wonders are following me and making others wonder about the power of Jesus Christ – and it’s amazing beyond words. This is happening in my life and should be happening in yours if you love Jesus. In John 10:10 Jesus tells us that He came so that we could have life abundantly, and because I believe it I see it. There’s no more doubt in my life. I conquered doubt in December when I got a plane with no money and no plan to retrieve my child based on promises from God, dreams and visions following directions as He gave (I was walking on water; walking the faith walk) and saw him part the Red Sea right before my, my son’s and friends Grace and Patti’s eyes. God is so faithful to His word that He provided witnesses of the miracle testimony He gave me. You will never find doubt hovering around my doorstep ever again. I don’t care what my situation looks like in the natural.

Speaking of that, right this moment the spirit of Pharaoh is trying to rise up against me, and drag me into court again regarding my son. The spirit of Pharaoh keeps the people of God captive. But, I know how the story ends. Pharaoh, his horseman and his chariots are drowned in the Red Sea. My God is not a man who lies nor is He a man who changes His mind once He decrees a thing. He does not make promises to break them. Faith moves mountains, and because of what I’ve seen God do in my life, my faith crushes mountains.

I loose faith into your lives right now in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. Faith that cannot be shaken on you from this moment forward if you’re willing to agree with it and receive it.

Blessings, favor and great grace to you. Amen

  1. Hi Jo and Peg, I think you just have to work through those times. Pray, lean on God, and take the next step. I've had things in my life that stopped me in my tracks, but I've never been in a position where I could let those things control me. If you let a tragedy stop you for too long, you'll get comfortable there.
